Ponteland Auction Mart Co Ltd,
Newcastle-upon-Tyne installed a 24-7 standard Fully Galvanised Single Beast
Scale. The System comprises of a 1500kg fully approved weigh scale
linked to a 60mm Red LED ring display providing Lot Number / Weight / Farm
Assured / Age of Beast, controlled by a heavy duty industrial switch on the
ringside door, automatically updating the ring display information.
The data is also displayed at the Auctioneers rostrum displaying the Next
Lot number and the weight of the beast. |

The system will be upgraded at a later stage
to incorporate a back office PC system when passports can be entered prior
to the start of the sale either XKO / Newline / Infoscience or other.
The system incorporates a Battery Back-up facility to automatically switch
on as soon as any power loss is detected providing a minimum of 2 hours
continuous back up to both the Weigh indicator and the Ring display. |
